Bullying of our children by some teachers has begun. We have heard of several cases already. Here is one. A sister writes to us in this case.
“My 10 year old daughter came home very upset and scared after school today.
She had approached her kindy teacher, whom she loved very much, with her carrot and apple and playingly asked: “Mrs do you like my gun?”
She did not expect the response she received.
As my daughter described it, her teacher yelled at her in a very loud and aggressive manner (nothing short of intimidating for a 10 year old).
She told me she felt like she couldn’t breathe.
Amidst the screaming and unnecessary commotion, her teacher told her that if she were to call the police she would be in very serious trouble and that her actions were deemed as ‘terrorism’.
My daughter (perplexed by all this), asked her why she was making such a big deal out of a carrot and an apple.
I am genuinely inquiring: am I taking this too seriously or has my 10 year old really crossed the line? How embarrassing and infuriating is it that a teacher would accuse a playing child of an act of Terrorism!”
